The weather is heating up and spring is here. That means it’s time for “spring cleaning”. We all have our usual lists, ranging from washing the windows and floors, to cleaning out the garage and gutters.
But what about your HVAC? Before the hot summer months are upon us, giving your HVAC unit some TLC can make sure it’ll be ready to perform at peak performance when the time comes.
Your HVAC Filter – This simple, yet important, component of your HVAC system ensures the air pumping through your home is free from pollen, allergens, dust and other particulates. Regularly checking, cleaning and/or replacing your filter is a surefire way to improve efficiency and save energy this summer.
Professional HVAC Cleaning and Evaluation – Having your cooling system cleaned annually is a reliable way to improve efficiency, enhance airflow, and catch any minor problems before they turn into expensive repairs.
Duct Cleaning – Ductwork is a common culprit of HVAC inefficiency and other issues (such as funky smells). Warm and cool air can cause the build-up of moisture, grime, and even the growth of mold spores. In other cases, loose ductwork or worn down seals can cause air to leak. Spring cleaning is a great time to have these inspected and cleaned.
