At Page Air, we believe in providing our clients with the best—the best customer service, the best HVAC technicians, and the best HVAC systems. That’s why we invest in our team and why only carry Trane HVAC systems. While most people don’t research and follow HVAC companies until they need to find a new system for their home or business, we’ve made it our mission to share the benefits of owning a high-quality Trane system. We believe in the Trane products so much, they’re the only ones we carry.
With a long history of quality products, it’s no surprise that Trane has made a name for itself in HVAC systems. The Trane name comes from James Trane, who in 1885 opened a plumbing and pipe-fitting shop in Wisconsin. In addition, the Norwegian native invented a heating system that relied on steam called Trane vapor heating. From the beginning, it was clear that James Trane intended to innovate—and he got his son involved, too.
Reuben Trane and his father incorporated The Trane Company in 1913. With his degree in mechanical engineering, Reuben was a huge asset to his father’s business. This became even more clear in 1923 when he invented the convector radiator. Since then, the company has focused on innovating in the HVAC field, even going as far as acquiring General Electric's AC division in 1982.
Two years later, however, Trane was purchased by American Standard Inc. Even under that umbrella corporation, Trane prospered. In 2007, American Standard sold off some of its divisions, yet kept Trane. It then renamed itself Trane, Inc and purchased Ingersoll-Rand.
Currently, 15 of Trane’s 23 commercial manufacturing plants and 4 of its 6 residential manufacturing plants are located in the United States. As a veteran-owned business, that’s something we at Page Air, Inc. can get behind! In addition to its commitment to US manufacturing jobs and quality products, Trane HVAC systems are also currently being used at the Washington Monument in DC. Closer to home, Trane’s commercial systems help keep Sea World in Orlando comfortable for its guests. That’s a big responsibility!
Throughout its history, there’s one thing that has never changed or faltered—the quality of Trane’s products. In fact, Lifestory Research has named Trane America’s Most Trusted™ HVAC System three years in a row!
With each of their systems, Trane aims to create a durable, efficient, and well-designed piece that will help create a comfortable environment, whether installed in a home, an office, or a warehouse. They rigorously test each model to ensure it will work in any environment—and that includes are gorgeous 90+ and 100+ degree summer days! Models are tested in extreme temperatures—even frozen in ice—to make sure that they’ll work when they’re needed. And did we mention they look pretty good, too?
